What is Radiofrequency Skin Tightening?

As we age, our body slows the production of collagen, causing our skin to lose elasticity, which can result in fine lines and wrinkles or even loose, sagging skin. Radiofrequency skin tightening is a minimally invasive solution to combat signs of aging that appear over time. PiXel8 RF microneedling is safe and effective. The treatment is typically performed on difficult fine lines and wrinkles on the cheeks and jowls or sagging skin on the jawline and neck. The resulting firmer, smoother skin can be seen immediately, and these effects are long-lasting.

What is PiXel8?

PiXel8 is a radiofrequency (RF) skin-tightening procedure that smooths and tightens your complexion. During treatment, a small handpiece equipped with dozens of tiny needles will be moved across the skin, delivering radiofrequency energy into the deep dermal layers of the skin. As the needles penetrate the skin and deliver RF energy, new collagen is stimulated to plump and smooth the skin.

In addition, the existing collagen contracts and tightens, allowing for immediate results even before new collagen has formed. A treatment takes anywhere from 45-60 minutes to complete, and a series of treatments is needed to see optimal results.

Results

Following your PiXel8 microneedling treatment, you can expect many improvements to your skin. Results from the treatment typically last about six months.

To maintain your results and protect your skin, be sure to avoid excess sun exposure and wear SPF. This is especially important during the first few days while the tiny pinpricks from the microneedles are healing. We also recommend that patients avoid strenuous activity for a few days since mild swelling is common after microneedling treatment.
